HOW DOES TATTOOING FRECKLES WORK?

Hannah recreates the way freckles would naturally find their way across your skin under the sun by dotting the marks on by hand using a clinical cosmetic drawing-pen. This way, that meant-to-be look can be achieved. On the day of your appointment your skin is colour matched by letting a small amount of ink dry on the forehead area, and shining a light over it, to see the light that bounces back and if the colour sits nicely before applying any ink. After Hannay has dotted the freckles on to create a stencil on your face to follow, you can check this in the mirror and make sure you're happy with the arrangement, the same as you would with a regular tattoo on your body.

Does IT HURT?

It feels kind of like a sharp pin prick that can make your eyes water, and your nose go a little ‘sniffly’ as if you're about to sneeze (tissues are at hand). The pain goes away immediately afterwards, just remember not to touch them with unwashed hands like you would any open wound.

ARE FRECKLES PERMANENT?

This is by far, the most asked question! Yes, freckles are permanent. However, generally freckles will fade up to 30% from the shade they started at on the day of your tattoo, sometimes even 50%! The inevitable exposure to the sun’s UV rays on your face, which is the most sensitive area of the body, will soften your freckles from day one and give freckles a lived-in look and PMU fades more than regular tattoo ink.

HOW LONG DO TATTOOED FRECKLES LAST?
